August 7th, 2022 – Dre Day Golf Outing and After Party

For those who didn’t know “Dre”, Andre Schnapp was a beloved Bahle Farms regular, employee, and active member of the golf community up here in Suttons Bay and surrounding.

Andre unfortunately passed away last spring, as the sale of the golf course was taking place.

While we didn’t personally know Dre (Crosley had a chance to meet him once), it was clear as we were coming in to the businesss that he had a huge impact on many of the people around us. We were honored when Allison, Dre’s life and business partner, approached us last year to host a golf outing and celebration of life for Dre.

While Dre Day 2021 was a bit more intimate, involving close friends and family members, we wanted to continue on the legacy of Dre annually and open it up to celebrate with all.

Despite the rain, we had an amazing Dre Day 2022 full of friends, family, community, golf and more.

Dre Day 2022

With rain on the radar, we were all watching carefully and making any “Plan B’s” we could. The morning started out misty, but promising.

After a ceremonial tee-off by Dre’s father Vernon, 24 teams were off! We had about 45 minutes until the rain started coming in…hard.

Most teams stuck through the bouts of pouring rain, and the afternoon cleared out just in time for the After Party!

1st Place: Mike Schultz, Brett Keck, Kyle Schaub and Peyton Mcdonough (54)

2nd Place: Keith Coleman, Ronda Coleman, Ryan Nesbit and Aiden Coleman (56)

3rd Place: Peg Larsen, John Larsen, Gary Hecht and Larry Clark (57)

Congrats to our winners!

After Party

Following the golf, we dried off by boogeying to some tunes by Rick Micham aka DJ Leo. We also had some members from Soul Patch play and even ended up jamming with the DJ for an incredible freestyle.

We had our friends from Leelanau Vodka dishing out some tastings and free drinks to those who won the Chipping Contest set out.

Folks from Cherryland Humane Society hung out and raised awareness for the many rescue dogs available for adoption. Allison and Dre are huge dog people (together they ran SunDog Kennel and have been avid supporters of Cherryland Humane Society), so we were very thankful to have them there!

Thank you to everyone for coming and hanging out with us all afternoon!
